Delusions

FRIENDS: Need some? Have some? Want some more? How about just one more? Just a thin little chocolate mint of a fellow that you'll hardly notice at all unless he's tripping over you, or himself. Or spilling a hot or ice cold beverage in your lap. Or eating all the granola during a hike. Or denting your car with his body. Or losing the phone number of that pretty girl you are into. All accidents of course. All his buddies are back home and the new city is a little terrifying. Yet, Cyn is true blue and loyal. Always there for a pal in a jam even if he's the one that caused it and will always have money to bail your ass outta jail. Just be prepared for a lecture afterwards. Then some tacos. Mm... tacos.
MENTOR: Mom and Grams are back in Alabama, not too far away but just enough that Cyn is feeling a bit lost without a parental figure around and unsure if he really has what it takes to be a park ranger. Naive and sheltered, he needs someone to take him on adventures and show him the real world. Maybe even how to do his laundry without shrinking something.
UH OH: Cyn is straight as an arrow (read: boring and innocent) when it comes to drugs, staying out late, and any sort of sexual behavior whatsoever. He's due for a good bit of corruption to distort that sunny disposition. But, hope you talk a good game because he can easily say no to anything.
MEANIES: Wanna beat up the skinny nature geek? Call him a boy scout while breaking his nose? Maybe shove his binoculars in the mud and mug him? Vandalize the park, litter, poach wildlife, manipulate and humiliate. Keep him humble or scare the ever livin' bejeezus out of him. Go ahead. Break the raptorfoxboy down in whichever way you see fit. -

One more semester until I'm out of here and a fully fledged adult with a potential career in the works. Maybe even make enough of a salary that my diet of cuppa noodles and beef jerky can evolve into something healthier.
Heading down to Lousiana to finish my last courses and do an internship before graduation. No openings in Alabama means I'm boning up on bayou ecosystems and the denizens of such. I've heard the food down there is amazing and I'll actually have a working kitchen in the dorms down there. Here's hoping I find someone that can teach me to cook all those spicy crawfish dishes. Mom says I need to put on weight and Grams agrees.
I just hope I can blend in as easily as I have here. Had a few close calls but luckily everyone around me was too blitzed at the time to remember the next day. Thank Frats for small favors, right?
